Preheat oven 400 degrees F. Line a cookie sheet with tin foil shine side down. Spread crackers over foil, lined up in rows.
Melt butter and sugar in sauce pan, bring to boil for 2 to 2 1/2 min. Stir often. Pour butter and sugar mixture over crackers. Put in oven for exactly 5 minutes. Make sure it doesn't burn or boil over.
After 5 minutes take from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over top and place back in oven for exactly 1 minute more. Take from oven and spread chocolate with spatula, add your favorite nuts if desired.
Refrigerate overnight and break into pieces.
