Remove skin from yams. Blend yams and butter until smooth. Add sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, nutmeg, cinnamon, lemon juice, and milk. Continue blending until smooth. Add flour & baking powder. Blend until evenly smooth.
Pour into 2 pie crusts.
Bake 400 degrees F for about 45 minutes. Pie is done when you stick a knife into it and it comes out clean.
