Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a Bundt pan. Mix 1/3 cup of sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar. Combine egg, milk, and oil; add to flour mixture. Stir by hand just until moistened.
Sprinkle half the cinnamon mixture and pecans on bottom of pan. Pour half the batter into pan. Repeat with remaining batter, cinnamon mixture and pecans.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Serve immediately, or wrap and store overnight.
