1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Olive oil
4 lb chuck, cut into 1 inch chunks (I just use stew meat)
2 cups red or white wine
1 cup beef broth
2 onions
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 cup flat leaf parsley
6 tsp minced garlic
4 bay leaves

Mix flour, salt and pepper. Dredge beef in flour. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Sear beef on all sides. Transfer to crock pot.

Add remaining ingredients and stir well to combine.

Cook on low 4 - 6 or high 2 - 3.
