Original recipe yields 6 servings
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 cup TACO BELL® Thick & Chunky Salsa
1 cup rinsed canned black beans
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1-1/2 cups water
1/2 cup creamy wheat (enriched farina) hot cereal (1-min., 2-1/2-min. or 10-min. cook time), uncooked
1/2 cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chiles, undrained
2 egg whites

Heat oven to 350ºF.

Brown meat in large skillet; drain. Return meat to skillet. Stir in salsa, beans and seasonings; simmer on low heat 5 min., stirring occasionally.

Spread onto bottom of 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.

Bring water to boil in medium saucepan. Stir in cereal; cook 1 to 3 min. or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.

Add cheese, chiles and egg whites to cereal mixture; mix well. Spread over meat mixture.

Bake 20 to 25 min. or until golden brown.
