Mix cereal and milk in small bowl; let stand 5 minutes or until softened. Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in large bowl.
Beat spread and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in cereal mixture and egg. Add to flour mixture, mixing just until moistened. Stir in apple.
Spoon batter into greased muffin pan, filling each cup 2/3 full.
Bake at 400°F for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
