Melt margarine or butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add milk and pudding mix, stirring constantly. Heat mixture to a boil; stir for 1 minute.
Remove from heat; beat in sugar, vanilla extract and walnuts just until smooth and well blended.
Spread into 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Refrigerate until firm. Cut into 20 pieces to serve.
