This cute bear cake, frosted with COOL WHIP and decorated with mini OREO Cookies, is a sure winner at a sleepover...or baby shower...or any event, really!

1 pkg. (2-layer size) white cake mix
6 drops each red and yellow food coloring
2 drops green food coloring
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed

Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on package for 1 (9-inch) round pan and 1 (9-inch) square pan. Cool completely.

Leave round cake whole; cut square cake as shown in diagram. Arrange cake pieces on cutting board, platter or tray as shown in photo.

Stir food colorings into COOL WHIP; spread onto cakes. Decorate with cookies and candies as shown in photo.

Substitute
Substitute yellow or chocolate cake mix for the white cake mix.
Tip 2
Tinting COOL WHIP
Adjust the color of the bear by adjusting the number of drops of food colorings used to tint the COOL WHIP. Use more color for a darker brown bear or use brown food coloring paste from the specialty cake store instead of the liquid food colorings. For a paler bear, use less coloring or leave white for a polar bear.
