Meanwhile, dissolve red gelatin in remaining 3/4 cup boiling water; stir in soda and ice cubes until dissolved. Refrigerate until slightly thickened. Stand glasses upright and spoon thickened gelatin evenly over set layer; refrigerate until set, abou t 1 hour.
Top with whipped topping; garnish with sprinkles.
