Original recipe yields 12 servings
1-1/4 cups flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
powdered sugar

Mix flour, cereal and baking powder in small bowl; set aside.

Beat margarine or butter and brown sugar until creamy in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed.

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and milk alternately with flour mixture, beating until smooth.

Spread batter into greased and floured 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350°F for 55 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let stand on wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack. Driz zle with powdered sugar glaze if desired.
