Combine cereal, flour and baking powder in medium bowl; set aside.
Blend milk, egg and margarine or butter in small bowl; stir into dry ingredients just until blended. Let stand 5 minutes.
Pour scant 1/4 cup batter for each pancake onto preheated, well greased griddle or skillet. Cook until bubbly; turn and cook until done. Serve warm with syrup if desired.
