Melt margarine or butter and marshmallows in a large saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly.
Add cereal and 1/2 cup gummi hearts; stir until well coated.
Spoon mixture into lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Place remaining gummi hearts on top of mixture; press down firmly with lightly greased hands or sheet of waxed paper.
Cool completely; cut into 24 pieces. Store in airtight container.
