Meet your new favorite mashed potato recipe! This one stars red potatoes and a secret ingredient. (OK, we're terrible with secrets. See below.)

6 medium red potatoes, peeled, cubed (about 8 cups)
2 medium pear s, peeled, cored and chopped
1 Tbsp. butter
1/2 cup PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese Spread
1 tsp. ground nutmeg

Place potatoes and pears in saucepan. Add enough water to completely cover ingredients in pan. Bring to boil on medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook 15 min. or until tender. Drain. Add butter; mash until butter is melted and mixture is well blended.

Add cream cheese spread and nutmeg; continue to mash until creamy and well blended. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
