Kitchen Tips
Keeping it Safe
Carbonara usually has raw eggs added to the hot pasta. We've made this dish safe for the whole family by adding cream cheese to the hot pasta to achieve the same creamy flavor and texture.
Food Facts
Since the pasta needs to be really hot in order to melt the cream cheese, it should be added to the skillet and tossed with the remaining ingredients as directed immediately after draining it.
Special Extra
Sprinkle with 1 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Serving Suggestion
Serve with a crisp mixed green salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT Dressing.
Cooking Know-How
Use a large pot of water to cook the pasta so it has room to move and won't stick together while cooking.
