Spicy guacamole layered over cream cheese and topped with fresh vegetables makes this a winning appetizer.

1 large ripe avocado
1/4 cup finely chopped onion s
1 jalapeño pepper, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. chopped cilantro
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese
1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup chopped green onions

Mash avocado in small bowl. Add onions, peppers and cilantro; mix well. Set aside.

Spread cream cheese on a 8-inch pie plate. Spread with avocado mixture over cream cheese. Sprinkle with tomatoes and green onions.

Serve with crackers.

How to Prevent Guacamole From Turning Dark
Stir a few drops of lime juice into prepared guacamole. Or if making guacamole ahead of time, also press the reserved avocado pit into guacamole; cover with a piece of plastic wrap pressed directly onto surface of guacamole. Refrigerate until ready to remove pit and use guacamole as directed.
Substitute
Substitute 1/2 cup crumbled pork rinds for chopped tomatoes and green onions.
