Some folks find it hard to believe there's even such a thing as KOOL-AID Pickles. But with their vibrant color and sour-sweet taste, they're worth a try!

Original recipe yields 20 servings
1 cup sugar
1 env. (0.13 oz.) KOOL-AID Cherry Flavor Unsweetened Drink Mix
1 qt. (4 cups) water
1 jar (32 oz.) CLAUSSEN Kosher Dill Pickle Halves, drained

Let's Make It

Stir sugar, drink mix and water in 48-oz. glass or plastic jar or storage container with lid until drink mix is dissolved.

Add pickles, arranging so that cut sides are completely covered with liquid; cover tightly.

Refrigerate at least 24 hours or up to 1 week. To serve, remove pickles from jar and cut in half.

Prepare as directed, using your favorite flavor of KOOL-AID Unsweetened Drink Mix.

Family Fun
For a colorful party tray, prepare several batches of KOOL-AID Pickles using a different flavor of KOOL-AID for each batch. Refrigerate 24 hours as directed. Cut pickles into 1-inch pieces, then arrange on serving platter. Serve with colorful toothpicks.

Pick Your Pickle
Prepare as directed, using different shapes of pickles. Use CLAUSSEN Kosher Dill Pickle Wholes or Mini Pickles, cutting pickles lengthwise in half before adding to the KOOL-AID. Also works great with CLAUSSEN Kosher Dill Pickle Spears, Sandwich Slices or Burger Slices.

Extreme Pickles
For more intense flavor and color, store in refrigerator 2 to 3 days before serving.
