You might have ended up with plain old cheeseburgers—until you decided to stuff them with pickled jalapeño peppers and top them with creamy guacamole.

Original recipe yields 8 servings
5 pickled jalapeño pepper s, divided
1 large fully ripe avocado, mashed
1/2 cup finely chopped onion s, divided
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
2 Tbsp. KRAFT Real Mayo Mayonnaise
3 cloves garlic, minced, divided
2 lb. lean ground beef
8 KRAFT Singles
8 hamburger bun s

Heat grill to medium-high heat.

Chop 1 pepper; mix with avocados, 2 Tbsp. onions, cilantro, mayo and 1/3 of the garlic. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Cut each of the remaining peppers into 6 slices. Mix meat, remaining onions and garlic just until blended; shape into 16 (3-inch) patties. Place 3 pepper slices on center of each of 8 patties; cover with second patty. Press edges together to seal.

Grill 5 min. on each side or until done (160ºF), topping burgers with Singles and toasting buns, cut sides down, on the grill for the last minute.

Fill buns with burgers and guacamole.

This simple, yet delicious, guacamole can be prepared ahead of time. To prevent it from turning brown, stir about 1 tsp. lime juice into the guacamole. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing wrap directly onto surface. Refrigerate up to 2 hours before using as directed.
