Dress up a KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner with peas and crispy chow mein noodles for a fast, fun weeknight main dish.
What You Need
Original recipe yields 3 servings
1 pkg. (7-1/4 oz.) KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
1-3/4 cup hot water
1 Tbsp. butter
1/4 cup fat-free milk
3/4 cup frozen peas, thawed
1/4 cup crispy chow mein noodles

Let's Make It
Pour Macaroni in 2-qt. microwaveable casserole or bowl. Add hot water.
Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH 10 to 11 min. or until water is absorbed, stirring with spoon after 5 min. Caution: Bowl will be hot.
Add butter, milk, Cheese Sauce Mix and peas; mix well. (Cheese Sauce will thicken upon standing.) Spoon into serving bowls. Top with chow mein noodles.
NOTE: Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate.
Using a large enough casserole/bowl (2-qt.) reduces the risk of boil overs in the microwave oven.
How to Quick Thaw
Quick thaw peas by placing them in a colander and running hot water over them for 1 min.
