Original recipe yields 6 servings
2 pkg. (7-1/4 oz. each) KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
2 jalapeño peppers, stemmed, seeded and cut into thin strips
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream, divided
1 cup KRAFT Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese, divided

Cook Macaroni in large saucepan as directed on package.
Meanwhile, heat heavy medium skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium heat. Add peppers; cook and stir 3 min. Stir in water; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 8 to 10 min. or until peppers are tender. Add 1/4 cup sour cream; cook and stir 1 min. or until heated through.
Drain macaroni. Use to prepare Dinners as directed on package. Stir in 1/2 cup shredded cheese and remaining sour cream. Top with remaining shredded cheese. Serve with pepper mixture.
