Original recipe yields 12 servings
1 pkg. (2-layer size) white cake mix
1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Lime Flavor Gelatin, divided
1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Berry Blue Flavor Gelatin, divided
1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Raspberry Flavor Gelatin, divided
2 cups boiling water, divided
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided

Heat oven to 350ºF.

Spray 2 (8-inch) round pans with cooking spray; cover bottoms with parchment. Prepare cake batter as directed on package. Pour 1/3 of the batter into each of 2 medium bowls. Stir 3 Tbsp. lime flavor gelatin mix into batter in one bowl. Repeat with remaining gelatin mixes and remaining batter. Pour lime-flavored batter evenly into prepared pans. Drop tablespoonfuls of each of the remaining flavored batters alternately into green batter in pans; swirl gently.

Bake 26 to 28 min. or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool cakes in pans 15 min.; remove to wire racks. Cool completely.

Add 2/3 cup boiling water to remaining lime gelatin mix in small bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Repeat with remaining berry blue and raspberry gelatin mixes in separate bowls. Refrigerate 20 min. or until thickened but not set. Add large spoonfuls of each gelatin flavor, side-by-side, to 8-inch round pan sprayed with cooking spray. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.

Stack cake layers on plate, filling with 1/2 cup COOL WHIP. Spread top of cake with 1/2 cup of the remaining COOL WHIP. Run knife around rim of gelatin-filled pan; unmold onto cake. Spoon 1/2 cup of the remaining COOL WHIP into pastry bag fitted with large tip. Frost side of cake with remaining COOL WHIP. Use filled pastry bag to pipe COOL WHIP onto gelatin to resemble peace sign.

How to Neatly Cut the Cake
Make sure cake is chilled before serving. Then, use a serrated knife dipped in hot water to cut the cake, carefully wiping blade with clean damp towel between cuts to prevent the filling from building up on the blade.
