A blend of sour cream and cream cheese and very ripe bananas makes these nutty banana bars super moist and extra delicious.
What You Need
Original recipe yields 24 servings
1 cup butter, softened, divided
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 egg s
2 cups mashed fully ripe banana s (about 6)
1 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
2 tsp. vanilla, divided
2-1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts

Heat oven to 375ºF.
Beat 1/2 cup butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs, bananas, sour cream and 1-1/2 tsp. vanilla; mix well. Mix flour and baking soda until blended. Gradually add to banana mixture, mixing well after each addition.
Pour into 15x10x1-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray.
Bake 20 to 25 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.
Beat cream cheese, remaining butter and vanilla in separate large bowl with mixer until blended. Gradually beat in powdered sugar; spread over dessert. Sprinkle with nuts.
Sweets can add enjoyment to a balanced diet, but remember to keep tabs on portions. One serving of this dessert is one square.
How to Store
For easy cleanup, line baking pan with foil using this easy method. Turn pan upside down and fit a piece of foil over top of pan, smoothing corners as needed. Remove foil. When you turn the pan over, the foil fits perfectly inside the pan.
