As much as we like lasagna, it can be a time-consuming dish. So we came up with this Parmesan-Rotini Skillet. All of the flavor—none of the fuss.
What You Need
Original recipe yields 8 servings
1 lb. Italian sausage
1-1/2 cups OLIVO by CLASSICO Traditional Pasta Sauce
1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
2 cups water
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
3 cups rotini pasta, uncooked
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese, divided
1/2 tsp. parsley flakes

Let's Make It
Crumble sausage into Dutch oven or large deep skillet; cook 8 to 10 min. or until evenly browned, stirring frequently. Drain sausage; return to pan.
Stir in pasta sauce, tomatoes, water and herbs. Bring to boil. Add pasta; stir. Cover; simmer on medium-low heat 20 min. or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
Mix ricotta, 1/4 cup Parmesan and parsley until blended; spoon over pasta mixture, then swirl gently with spoon. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan.
Serve with a mixed green salad and your favorite fresh fruit to round out the meal.
Traditional lasagna can take up to 2 hours to prepare. This tasty skillet version takes just 45 minutes.
