Nuts and chocolate—always a great combination—are together again in these yummy homemade Chocolate Peanut Cookies.

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
2 egg s
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 cup PLANTERS COCKTAIL Peanuts, coarsely chopped

Heat oven to 350°F.

Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.

Mix flour, cocoa powder and baking soda. Add to butter mixture; mix well. Stir in nuts.

Drop tablespoonfuls of dough, 3 inches apart, onto baking sheets.

Bake 10 to 12 min. or until lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 2 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
