Puffed wheat cereal and peanuts create new crispy treats that will be just as popular as the traditional version. Oh, and they're equally as easy to make!
What You Need
Original recipe yields 12 servings
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 pkg. (10 oz.) JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallow s
6 cups sweetened puffed wheat cereal
1/2 cup PLANTERS COCKTAIL Peanuts

Let's Make It
Microwave butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 45 sec. or until melted. Add marshmallows; stir to evenly coat. Microwave 1-1/2 min. or until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring after 45 sec. Add cereal and nuts; mix well.
Press cereal mixture onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray. Top with remaining coconut; press lightly into cereal mixture to secure. Cool completely before cutting to serve.

Melt butter in large saucepan on low heat. Add marshmallows; cook and stir until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended. Remove from heat. Continue as directed.
How to Press Cereal Mixture into Pan
Use waxed paper to press the marshmallow mixture onto bottom of prepared pan.
