Original recipe yields 16 servings
1 cup chopped cooked chicken
1/3 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
2 canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, chopped
1 tsp. lime juice
3/4 cup masa harina
2/3 cup lukewarm water
2 tsp. oil
1 cup KRAFT Mexican Style Finely Shredded Four Cheese
3 Tbsp. BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
1 green onion, chopped

Cook first 3 ingredients in saucepan on medium-low heat 5 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in lime juice. Cover to keep warm.

Mix masa harina and water until mixture forms soft dough. Knead 3 min. Shape into 16 balls, using about 1 Tbsp. dough for each. Flatten each to 2-1/2-inch round. Heat large skillet or comal on medium-high heat. Add dough rounds, in batches, to skillet; cook 1-1/2 min. or until lightly browned on both sides, turning every 30 sec. Cool slightly.

Press dough to make 1/4-inch-high rim around edge of each round. Brush both sides of each with oil. Cook in same skillet 1 min. on each side. Serve topped with chicken mixture and remaining ingredients.

Tip 1
How to Flatten the Masa Dough
Place 4 masa balls, 3 inches apart, between 2 sheets of plastic wrap. Use bottom of dry measuring cup to flatten each to 2-1/2-inch round. Repeat with remaining dough.

Make Ahead
Sopes can be cooked ahead of time. Cool, then place in airtight container. Freeze up to 1 month. Thaw overnight in refrigerator. Reheat before using as directed.

Substitute 1/2 lb. (1 cup) fresh masa for the prepared dough.
