Original recipe yields 5 servings
1 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Cottage Cheese
3-1/2 cups boiling water
1 cup steel-cut oats
1 apple, chopped
1/3 cup raisins
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/3 cup PLANTERS Pecans, toasted

Blend cottage cheese in blender until smooth; transfer to slow cooker. Stir in boiling water.
Add all remaining ingredients except nuts; stir. Cover with lid. Cook on HIGH 1 hour 45 min. to 2 hours, stirring after 1 hour.
Serve topped with nuts.
Substitute 1/2 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream for the blended cottage cheese.
This delicious oatmeal can be cooked overnight so it is ready to serve first-thing the next morning. Just prepare as directed, substituting cold water for the boiling water and cooking the oatmeal overnight on LOW. Stir before serving as directed.
