Rosie's lasagna will please the lasagna purists in the family with its meaty, garlicky sauce, tender noodles and generous layers of ricotta cheese.

Original recipe yields 9 servings
3/4 lb. extra-lean ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
1-1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1 jar (24 oz.) OLIVO by CLASSICO Traditional Pasta Sauce
1 large tomato, chopped
1 container (15 oz.) POLLY-O Natural Part Skim Ricotta Cheese
1 egg
1/4 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
9 lasagna noodles, cooked, drained
1 pkg. (8 oz.) KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, divided

Heat oven to 375°F.

Brown meat with garlic and oregano in medium saucepan. Stir in pasta sauce; simmer 5 min. Remove from heat; stir in tomatoes.

Mix ricotta, egg and Parmesan. Spread 1/2 cup of the sauce mixture onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish; cover with layers of 3 of the noodles, 1 cup of the ricotta mixture, 1/2 cup of the mozzarella and 1 cup of the remaining sauce mixture. Repeat layers. Top with remaining 3 noodles and remaining sauce mixture. Cover with foil.

Bake 30 min. or until heated through. Uncover; top with remaining mozzarella. Bake, uncovered, 5 min. or until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 min. before serving.

For added color and texture, serve with a mixed green salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT LITE DONE RIGHT! Reduced Fat Dressing.

Make Ahead
Assemble lasagna as directed; cover. Refrigerate up to 24 hours. When ready to serve, uncover and bake as directed, increasing the initial bake time from 30 min. to 40 min. or until heated through. Uncover. Top with the remaining mozzarella and continue as directed.

Substitute
Substitute 1 container (16 oz.) BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Low Fat Cottage Cheese for the ricotta cheese.
