Original recipe yields 4 servings
1 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided
1 can (10.75 oz.) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1-1/2 cups instant white rice, uncooked
3/4 lb. frozen fully cooked meatballs
2 cups frozen peas

Heat oven to 400°F.
Set aside 1/2 cup of the cheese. Mix all remaining ingredients in 8-inch square baking dish; cover with foil.
Bake 35 min. Remove foil; sprinkle with reserved cheese.
Bake 10 min. or until cheese is melted and rice is tender.
Serve with fresh fruit and a side salad to round out the meal.
Use any condensed cream soup you have on hand, such as chicken or broccoli.
