What You Need
Original recipe yields 30 servings
1 pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate
3/4 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 egg s
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping (Do not thaw.)
1-1/2 pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate (6 oz.)
1/2 cup chopped PLANTERS Almonds

Heat oven to 350°F.
Microwave unsweetened chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Stir in sugar. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour; mix well. Refrigerate 15 min. or until dough is easy to handle.
Shape dough into 60 (1-inch) balls; place, 2 inches apart, on baking sheets sprayed with cooking spray.
Bake 8 to 10 min. or just until centers are set. (Do not overbake.) Let stand on baking sheet 1 min. Transfer to wire racks; cool completely.
Microwave COOL WHIP and semi-sweet chocolate in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min.; stir. Microwave 30 sec. or until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended when stirred. Let stand 15 min. to thicken.
Spread chocolate glaze over cookies; sprinkle with nuts. Let stand 40 min. or until glaze is set.

To freeze, place balls of uncooked dough on a wax paper or parchment paper-lined baking sheet and freeze until firm. Transfer to a plastic freezer bag; freeze up to 3 months. Bake frozen dough 10 min. or just until set.
