We added garlic to these mashed potatoes along with sour cream and two kinds of cheese. (As if creamy and cheesy weren't enough to thrill the crowd!)
What You Need
Original recipe yields 8 servings
2 lb. Yukon gold potato es (about 8), peeled, cut into 1-inch chunks
3 cloves garlic
1 cup small broccoli florets
3/4 cup KRAFT Shredded Swiss Cheese
3/4 cup KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1/2 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
1/4 tsp. pepper

Let's Make It
Cook potatoes and garlic in large saucepan of boiling water 15 min. or until potatoes are tender. Transfer potatoes and garlic to large bowl with slotted spoon, reserving cooking water in pan. Add broccoli to water in pan. Return water to boil; cook 2 to 3 min. or until broccoli is crisp-tender. Drain.
Mash potatoes. Add cheeses, sour cream and pepper; mix well.
Stir in broccoli.
Serve this potato side dish with a crisp, mixed green salad or hot steamed vegetable and cooked lean meat, poultry or fish.
Prepare using your favorite combination of KRAFT Shredded Cheeses.
