This fantasy cake was dreamed up by true chocolate lovers—and is as rich, moist and intensely chocolatey as the name implies. No frosting required!
What You Need
Original recipe yields 10 servings
1-1/2 pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Bittersweet Chocolate (6 oz.)
3/4 cup butter
4 egg s
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup PLANTERS Slivered Almonds, toasted, chopped

Let's Make It
Heat oven to 350°F.
Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended; cool.
Beat eggs and sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended. Add almond extract and chocolate mixture; mix well. Gradually beat in flour. Stir in nuts. Pour into greased and floured 9-inch round pan.
Bake 30 min. or until center is set. Cool in pan 5 min. Remove to wire rack; cool completely.
Sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh raspberries before serving.
