Glazed Turtle Cupcakes

Devil's food cupcakes are good. But if you prefer scrumptious, try them with a vanilla pudding filling, chocolate glaze and a pecan on top.

Original recipe yields 24 servings
1 pkg. (2-layer size) devil's food cake mix
2 pkg. (3.4 oz. each) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding, divided
1 cup cold milk
2-1/2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, divided
1 pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, broken into pieces
1/2 cup PLANTERS Pecan Halves

Heat oven to 350°F.

Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on package for 24 cupcakes, blending 1 pkg. dry pudding mix into batter before spooning into prepared muffin cups. Cool in pans 10 min. Remove to wire racks; cool 20 min. (Cupcakes should still be warm.)

Beat remaining pudding mix and milk in medium bowl with whisk 2 min. Stir in 1 cup COOL WHIP. Spoon into freezer-weight resealable plastic bag; seal bag. Cut small piece off one bottom corner of bag; use to pipe pudding mixture into centers of cupcakes, adding about 1 Tbsp. to each.

Microwave remaining COOL WHIP and chocolate in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1-1/2 min. or until chocolate is almost melted, stirring after 1 min. Stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Dip top of each cupcake into glaze; top with 1 nut half.

For added flair, dip top of each cupcake into glaze, then twist slightly while removing cupcake from glaze.
How to Store Cupcakes
Keep frosted cakes refrigerated.
Note
If you have a pastry bag, you can use that to fill cupcakes with pudding mixture instead of the resealable plastic bag.
