Layered with prepared pound cake, whipped topping and fruit, these individual orange trifles make an easy and elegant after-dinner teat.

3 navel orange s, divided
1 pkg. (10.75 oz.) prepared pound cake, cut into 13 slices, divided
2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
6 maraschino cherries

Cut 1 orange into 6 slices; peel and section remaining oranges. Use miniature cookie cutter to cut 6 small shapes from 1 cake slice.

Place 1 of the remaining cake slices in each of 6 individual dessert dishes; cover evenly with layers of half each of the orange sections and COOL WHIP. Repeat layers.

Garnish with cake cutouts, orange slices and cherries.

How to Thaw COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
The best way to thaw frozen COOL WHIP Whipped Topping is in its container in the refrigerator. Depending on the size tub you have, the thawing time varies. Recommended thawing times are: 8-oz. tub - 4 hours; 12-oz. tub - 5 hours; 16-oz. tub - 6 hours. We DO NOT recommend thawing COOL WHIP Whipped Topping in the microwave.

How to Section Citrus Fruit
Use a sharp paring knife to section fresh oranges or grapefruit. Cut a 1/2-inch-thick slice off both the top and bottom ends of the fruit. Cut the peel and white pith away from the fruit, using a downward cutting motion following the shape of the fruit. Place the peeled fruit piece on its side, then cut down along the membrane on both sides of each section to remove the fruit.

Storing COOL WHIP
Keep a tub of COOL WHIP Whipped Topping in the freezer to use as an easy dessert topping, as a last-minute frosting for cakes or for spooning over cut-up fresh fruit. Once thawed, the whipped topping should be refrigerated and used within 2 weeks. For longer storage, COOL WHIP Whipped Topping can be re-frozen up to five times.
