STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken and buttery sautéed mushrooms and onions make a delicious stuffing for quartered broiler-fryer chicken.

2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1 onion, chopped
1 pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken
1 cup KRAFT Finely Shredded Italian* Five Cheese Blend
2 broiler-fryer chicken s (5 lb.), quartered
3/4 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce

Heat oven to 400ºF.

Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Add mushrooms and onions; cook and stir 5 min. or until tender. Remove from heat. Stir in stuffing mix and cheese.

Insert fingers carefully between the meat and skin of each chicken quarter to make pocket; fill with stuffing mixture. Place, skin sides up, in large roasting pan.

Bake 50 to 55 min. or until chicken is done (165ºF), brushing with barbecue sauce for the last 10 min.
