Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Add onions and garlic; cook and stir 2 to 3 min. or until onions are crisp-tender. Stir in broth and rice. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 10 min. Add asparagus; stir. Simmer 5 to 7 min. or until rice is tender.
Meanwhile, cook bruschetta patties as directed on package.
Add nuts and dressing to rice mixture; mix well. Serve with patties.

Trimming Fresh Asparagus
Asparagus spears snap off naturally where they are tough. Simply bend the spear near the bottom end and it will break off at the right point. Or, remove an inch or so of the "woody" portion off the bottom of the stalks with a sharp knife.
Stand fresh asparagus spears upright in a container filled with about 1 inch of water. Cover with a plastic bag and refrigerate.
