The slow cooker does so many things well—including pork shoulder. Toss one in with seasonings this morning, and enjoy awesome tacos tonight!

Original recipe yields 12 servings
1 boneless pork loin (3 lb.)
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
3/4 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
juice from 1 orange
1/2 cup TACO BELL® Thick & Chunky Salsa
24 TACO BELL® Crunchy Taco Shell s, warmed
2 avocado s, chopped
2 cups shredded red cabbage
1 pkg. (8 oz.) KRAFT Mexican Style Finely Shredded Taco Cheese
2 lime s, each cut into 6 wedges, then cut crosswise in half

Cut meat into large chunks; place in slow cooker. Sprinkle with cumin. Add barbecue sauce and orange juice; cover with lid.

Cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours (or on HIGH 4 to 5 hours). Remove meat from slow cooker; cut into small pieces or shred with 2 forks. Place in medium bowl. Add salsa and 1 cup of the cooking liquid; mix lightly.

Spoon meat mixture into taco shells; top with avocados, cabbage and cheese. Serve each with a lime piece to squeeze over tacos before serving.

Tip 1
Variation
Omit taco shells. Serve meat mixture wrapped in lettuce leaves. For added flavor, sprinkle chopped fresh cilantro over meat mixture before wrapping in the lettuce.
Tip 2
Special Extra
Add 2 garlic cloves, 1 sliced onion and 1 bay leaf to ingredients in slow cooker before adding the barbecue sauce and orange juice. Discard bay leaf before serving.

For easy cleanup, line slow cooker with plastic liner bag before filling with ingredients and cooking as directed.
