Original recipe yields 6 servings
1/2 cup PLANTERS Pecan Halves, toasted
4 cups water
1 cup long-grain white rice, uncooked
1 Mexican cinnamon stick (canela)
2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

Reserve 6 nuts. Place remaining nuts in blender. Add water, rice and cinnamon stick; blend until smooth. Pour into bowl; let stand 3 hours, stirring every 30 min.
Pour rice mixture through fine-mesh strainer into 2-qt. pitcher. Stir in milk and sugar.
Serve over ice. Top with COOL WHIP and reserved nuts.
Prepare using 1/3 cup toasted PLANTERS Slivered Almonds, reserving 1 Tbsp. nuts for the garnish.
