2-1/2 cups water
1-1/2 cups fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
3/4 cup green split peas
1/2 cup KRAFT Shredded Parmesan Cheese
1/2 cup croutons

Heat oil in large saucepan on medium-high heat. Add onions and garlic; cook and stir 3 min. or until crisp-tender. Add ham; cook 2 min., stirring occasionally.

Add peas, water and broth; stir. Bring to boil; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 1 hour or until peas are tender.
