Original recipe yields 10 servings
1 ready-to-use refrigerated pie crust (1/2 of 14.1-oz. pkg.)
20 KRAFT Caramels
1 cup plus 2 Tbsp. half-and-half, divided
1-1/2 cups PLANTERS Slivered Almonds
1/4 cup flour
3 egg s
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
3 Granny Smith apple s (1-1/2 lb.), peeled, sliced

Heat oven to 375ºF.
Prepare crust in 9-inch pie plate as directed on package for one-crust filled pie.
Microwave caramels and 2 Tbsp. half-and-half in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until caramels are completely melted, stirring after each minute.
Process nuts and flour in food processor until nuts are finely ground. Add caramel sauce; pulse just until blended. Add eggs, cinnamon, vanilla and remaining half-and-half; pulse just until blended.
Place apples in crust; cover with caramel mixture.
Bake 45 to 50 min. or until pie filling is slightly puffed and crust is golden brown. Cool.

Cover edge of pie crust with strip of foil for the last 15 min. of the baking time to prevent it from browning too much.
