What You Need
Original recipe yields 32 servings
2 Granny Smith apple s, chopped
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
24 KRAFT Caramel s
1/4 cup milk
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
1/4 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts

Microwave apples and cinnamon in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 4 min.; stir. Add half the apples to cream cheese in large bowl; mix well.
Place caramels in separate microwaveable bowl. Add milk. Microwave 1 min. 40 sec or until caramels are completely melted when stirred. Add to cream cheese mixture; mix well. Gently stir in COOL WHIP; spread onto bottom of pie plate. Top with remaining apples; sprinkle with nuts.
Refrigerate 30 min.
Serve with pretzels, apple slices, gingersnaps and/or graham crackers.
Substitute 1 cup of KRAFT Caramel Bits for the caramels.
