Taste fabulous fudgy flavors in our Easy Chocolate Cake! The deep chocolate flavor in this Easy Chocolate Cake comes from either coffee or stout beer.
What You Need
Original recipe yields 16 servings
1-3/4 cups sugar
1-3/4 cups flour
1 cup brewed strong MAXWELL HOUSE Coffee
3/4 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
5 oz. BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate, melted
1/4 cup oil
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder

Let's Make It
Heat oven to 350ºF.
Beat all ingredients except cocoa powder in large bowl with mixer until blended.
Pour into 9-inch springform pan sprayed with cooking spray.
Bake 50 to 55 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely. (Center of cake will sink as it cools.) Run knife around rim of pan to loosen cake; remove rim. Sprinkle cake with cocoa powder before serving.
Substitute 1 cup stout beer for the MAXWELL HOUSE Coffee. Please use alcohol responsibly.
