There's nothing complicated about this asparagus: It's served simply over a bed of sautéed onions and bacon. And as the name implies, it's simply delish.

3 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon
1/2 cup chopped onions
1-1/2 lb. fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
1 Tbsp. water
1/4 cup KRAFT Classic Ranch Dressing

Cook bacon in large skillet until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet, reserving 1 Tbsp. drippings in skillet. Drain bacon on paper towels. Add onions to reserved drippings; cook 5 min. or until tender, stirring occasionally.

Meanwhile, place asparagus in microwaveable dish. Add water; cover with waxed paper. Microwave on HIGH 4 to 5 min. or until asparagus is crisp-tender; drain.

Stir dressing into onion mixture in skillet; spoon over asparagus. Crumble bacon; sprinkle over sauce.

Substitute green beans for the asparagus.

Asparagus spears can be cut into 1-1/2 inch lengths before microwaving. Drain and add to sauce in skillet, tossing to coat.
