What You Need
Original recipe yields 4 servings
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 stalks celery, sliced
1 cup ORE-IDA Chopped Onions
1 tsp. dried tarragon leaves
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
4 cups firm white bread cubes (3/4 inch)
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth

Heat oven to 350°F.
Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add celery and onions; cook 3 to 5 min. or until crisp-tender, stirring frequently. Add dry seasonings; cook and stir 1 min. Spoon into large bowl.
Add bread and parsley; mix lightly. Whisk eggs and broth until blended. Add to bread mixture; mix lightly.
Spoon into 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; cover.
Bake 30 min. or until heated through, uncovering after 15 min.
Serve this traditional side dish with cooked lean poultry and a smart side, such as steamed broccoli, for a balanced diet.
Substitute dried basil leaves for the tarragon.
