What You Need
Original recipe yields 10 servings
1 cup boiling water
1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
1 cup cold water
1 pkg. (10 oz.) prepared angel food cake
1-1/2 cups chopped strawberries
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
1 tsp. lemon zest

Add boiling water to gelatin mix in medium bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water. Refrigerate 30 min. or until slightly thickened.
Remove cake from container; wash container. Dry, then spray container with cooking spray. Cut cake into 1-inch pieces.
Stir strawberries and half the COOL WHIP into gelatin. Layer half each of the cake pieces and gelatin mixture in prepared cake container; repeat layers. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm.
Unmold cake onto plate. Mix remaining COOL WHIP and lemon zest; spread over top and side of cake.
Use 1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O SIMPLY GOOD Strawberry Flavor Gelatin.
Garnish with sliced strawberries before serving.
Prepare using JELL-O Raspberry Gelatin and whole fresh raspberries.
If the angel food cake does not come packaged in a disposable plastic or foil container, layer the ingredients in a 1-1/2-qt. bowl before refrigerating and unmolding as directed.
