Heat 1 Tbsp. oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add onions; cook 10 min. or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Stir in black pepper. Remove from heat; cover to keep warm.
Mix meat, Worcestershire sauce, red pepper and garlic powder just until blended; shape mixture into 8 (1/4-inch-thick) patties. Spoon cheese evenly onto centers of 4 patties; cover with remaining patties. Pinch edges together to seal. Brush bread slices with remaining oil.
Grill patties 5 to 6 min. on each side or until done (160ºF), adding bread slices to the grill for the last few minutes to grill until toasted on both sides.
Place cheeseburgers on toast slices; top with onion mixture.
Serve with baked ORE-IDA Sweet Potato Fries.
Use Your Broiler
Heat broiler. Place stuffed patties on rack of broiler pan sprayed with cooking spray. Broil, 4 inches from heat, 5 to 6 min. on each side or until done (160ºF), adding bread slices to the pan for the last few minutes to broil until toasted on both sides.
Serve with HEINZ Tomato Ketchup and/or HEINZ Yellow Mustard.
