Original recipe yields 12 servings
1 Tbsp. oil
1/2 cup chopped onion s
2 Tbsp. minced gingerroot
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. cumin seed
4 cups loosely packed baby spinach leaves
1/4 cup KRAFT Cucumber Ranch Dressing
1/4 cup shredded paneer cheese
1 tsp. each garam masala and ground cumin
1/4 tsp. ground red pepper (cayenne)
1 can (8 oz.) refrigerated crescent dough sheet
1/4 cup flour
1 egg, beaten
1 Tbsp. sesame seed
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper

Heat oil in medium skillet on high heat. Add next 4 ingredients; cook and stir 3 min. or until onions are crisp-tender. Add spinach; cook and stir 2 to 3 min. or just until wilted. Cool 5 min. Stir in dressing, cheese, garam masala, cumin and ground red pepper. Refrigerate 15 min.

Heat oven to 375ºF. Unroll crescent dough on lightly floured surface to 12x8-inch rectangle. Cover with spinach mixture. Roll up dough, starting at one long side; cut crosswise into 12 pieces. Place, cut-sides down, on baking sheet. Brush lightly with egg; sprinkle with sesame seed and crushed red pepper.

Bake 20 to 25 min. or until golden brown.
