Original recipe yields 16 servings
2 pkg. (3.4 oz. each) JELL-O Pistachio Flavor Instant Pudding
3 cups cold milk
1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
1-1/4 pkg. (9 oz. each) chocolate wafer cookie s (60 wafers)
1 oz. BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted

Line 8-inch round pan with plastic wrap. Beat pudding mixes, milk and extract in large bowl with whisk 2 min. Gently stir in 2-1/2 cups COOL WHIP.

Spoon 3/4 cup pudding mixture into prepared pan; spread to within 1 inch of edge. Cover with layer of 10 wafers, top sides down, overlapping wafers as necessary to form even layer. Repeat layers 5 times; cover. Refrigerate 2 hours.

Invert dessert onto serving plate just before serving. Remove plastic wrap. Top dessert with remaining COOL WHIP; drizzle with chocolate.

Omit drizzling chocolate over COOL WHIP. Make chocolate curls with chocolate to decorate torte. To make chocolate curls, use spatula to spread melted chocolate into thin layer on baking sheet. Refrigerate 10 min. or until firm, but still pliable. To make curls, push a metal spatula firmly along the baking sheet, under the chocolate, so the chocolate curls as it is pushed. (If chocolate is too firm to curl, let stand a few minutes at room temperature; refrigerate again if it becomes too soft.) Use a toothpick to carefully place chocolate curl on waxed paper-covered tray. Refrigerate 15 min. or until firm. Use toothpick to arrange curls on torte.
