What You Need
Original recipe yields 6 servings
2/3 cup cornflake crumbs
1/3 cup PLANTERS Pecans, finely chopped
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
4 egg s
1/2 cup milk
6 slices whole wheat bread (3/4-inch thick)
2 Tbsp. butter
2/3 cup maple-flavored or pancake syrup

Mix crumbs, nuts, sugar and cinnamon in shallow dish. Beat eggs and milk in separate shallow dish until blended.
Cut each bread slice into 3 lengthwise sticks. Dip bread sticks in egg mixture; coat with cereal mixture.
Melt 1 Tbsp. butter in large nonstick skillet or griddle on medium heat. Add half the bread sticks; cook 3 to 5 min. on each side or until golden on both sides. Repeat with remaining butter and bread sticks. Serve warm with syrup for dipping.
Substitute graham cracker crumbs for the cornflake crumbs.
Substitute maple syrup for the maple-flavored or pancake syrup.
