Let's Make It
1
Prepare Dinner as directed on package. Add 2 tsp. ketchup, wieners and relish to prepared Dinner; cool slightly. Meanwhile, mix remaining ketchup and duck sauce.
2
Spoon about 1/3 cup Dinner mixture onto bottom corner of each egg roll wrapper. Fold in opposite sides of wrapper, then roll up tightly. Lightly moisten top corner of wrapper with water, then press firmly to egg roll to seal.
3
Heat 1 Tbsp. oil in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat. Add 6 egg rolls, seam sides down; cook 4 min. or until golden brown on all sides, turning occasionally. Drain on paper towels. Repeat with remaining oil and egg rolls. Serve warm with prepared sauce.
Kitchen Tips
Tip 1
Make Ahead
Egg rolls can be cooked ahead of time. Cool, then freeze in airtight container up to 3 months. When ready to serve, bake in 350°F oven 15 to 20 min. or until heated through. (No need to thaw first.) Meanwhile, prepare sauce. Serve sauce with egg rolls.
Tip 2
Substitute
Prepare using HEINZ Ketchup Blended with Sriracha Flavor.
Tip 3
Plum Sauce or Duck Sauce?
Often served as a dipping sauce for eggrolls, plum sauce and duck sauce are similar ingredients varying slightly in both color and flavor profiles depending on where in the country they are served. On the East coast and in parts of the Midwest, duck sauce is the more commonly used term for the orange-colored sweet-and-sour sauce with a prominent orange, peach, apricot and/or pineapple flavor. On the West Coast, the browner sweet-and-sour sauce, with its pronounced plum flavor, is referred to as plum sauce. No matter what it’s called, you can find this fruity condiment in the ethnic foods section of your supermarket.
