Original recipe yields 8 servings
1 pkg. (14.1 oz.) ready-to-use refrigerated pie crust (2 crusts), divided
1-1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1-1/2 cups finely chopped onion s
1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes with garlic and onion, drained
1/3 cup HEINZ Tomato Ketchup
1 Tbsp. HEINZ Yellow Mustard
1 egg
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
8 CLAUSSEN Kosher Dill Burger Slices

Heat oven to 425ºF.

Line 9-inch pie plate with 1 crust as directed on package for two-crust pie. Brown meat with onions in large nonstick skillet; drain. Stir in tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, egg and pepper.

Spoon meat mixture into crust. Top with burger slices. Cover with remaining crust; seal and flute edge. Cut several slits in top crust to permit steam to escape.

Bake 30 to 35 min. or until golden brown.

Make it a Cheeseburger Pie
Stir in 1 cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Cheddar Cheese with the ketchup and mustard.

Note
Cover edge of pie crust with strip of foil for the last 15 min. of the baking time to prevent it from browning too much.
Tip 4
How to Flute Edge of Crust
Flute (to finish) edge by using two fingers to press a V-shape into the crust edge. This will look like a wave or ruffle design when finished. Or, pinch and slightly twist the pastry as you move around the pie to create a rope design.
